Radio Rubber Room EP15, Black Liquid, hilarious

May 31st, 2011

This week, Black Liquid joined us and he brought Iain with Grape Cloth (A really cool RVA tee-shirt company) and we talked hip hop, what it takes to host a radio show and finally got to the bottom of who would win in a fight between Chuck Norris and Steven Seagal. Black is a brilliant guy and he had a lot to say. It was hard for our pea-brains to keep up, but there was enough knowledge in his words that even the pea brains walked away with some fresh wisdom. Will you? Just like every other week, Simone and his mom joined us for "Simone Says", and Simone's mom continued to resist any and all sexual advancements by Dan, but how long will she last??? Most importantly, this show was the first show that could be heard on 102.9FM all around Richmond. If you missed it, download the podcast from iTunes, and don't forget to subscribe for free.

Radio Rubber Room EP14, Good Birds, hilarious

May 24th, 2011

In this weeks episode, Local funny man Patrick McCarthy joined us along with The Good Birds. The Good Birds are a fairly new four piece folk rock band who write some great tunes. We kicked the ball around a bit and it was obvious from the jump that those damn birds had no idea what they where getting into so we pulled no punches. Te Birds brought in five tunes and let us pick on them a bit. Listen to the show and find out which one of the Rubber Room Hosts only source for nutritional sustenance is other peoples boogers.

Radio Rubber Room EP13, Downbeat Switch, hilarious

May 18th, 2011

In this week’s episode, the guys and gal from Downbeat Switch joined us for two hours packed full of lowbrow humor and sexual innuendo. Because Manzelli arrived late, Dan and Derrick decided to punish him by forcing him to eat something strange and disgusting they found around the radio station. Dan immediately kicked off the interview segments by making DbS’s new drummer Rob feel awkward and uncomfortable with stories they shared from their past. Jenna, the lead singer for Downbeat Switch, brought in an amazing set of pipes and wowed the guys with three live songs. I should mention that DbS unveiled two new songs from their upcoming album. Listen to the podcast to find out if the biopsy we preformed on the sore from Manzelli's lip was really herpes or just a skittle that melted to his face. New product parodies to look for: The Facebook Breathalyzer and Rock Hard Caulk.

Radio Rubber Room EP12, The Mothers Day Massacre, hilarious

May 12th, 2011

In this episode, Derrick shanghaid Dan and Chris by inviting their moms on to embarrass the crap out of them. Dan, Derrick and Manzelli played their own tunes. This show was awesome, if you think chasing down a butterfly with broken wings and nursing it back to health kicks ass. That's right, this may be the cutest show ever, that is, in till Simone and his mom joined them to do Simone Says. Simone and his mom discussed live shows and the rash that Dan gave his mom, then how he helped her get rid of the said rash. The show blew up in the second hour but you'll just have to listen to find out who really pooped the jar! BEHOLD, the Mothers Day Massacre!

Radio Rubber Room EP11, Andres Santamaria, hilarious

May 3rd, 2011

This week, we had a tragedy forced our scheduled guest to cancel. Fortunately, Andres Santamaria of The Santamaria Brothers agreed to bring in his guitar, play some tunes and get retarded with us for two hours. That's right, Andres was a bit nervous at first because he had never been on the radio before. But when he realized how goofy our show was, he cut loose and got stupid too. Don't let that fool you though, his original tunes are excellent, and the two covers he played where solid. Andres can play and sing, and it takes gut to do it alone in-studio with no effects on his vocals. It didn't matter though, he sounded great. 1) The Dream Machine - Dead Mans Tongue

2) Grinding Stone - Crumbleweed

3) Psychobilly Cadillac - Out Of Mind
