Last Saturday, Dane Ferguson joined us last minute on Radio Rubber Room. He brought his guitar and some really cool songs he wrote inspired by life in Richmond. Though Dane had no idea what he was getting himself into he was a good sport and rolled with the punches for two straight hours. At the end of the show, he even ate one of the old rancid hotdogs we brought for him, and he liked it. New content this episode: The Fine World Of Art w/ Alijuandro - Sculptures. This week, Middle Management joined us and represented The Richmond Comedy Coalition. RCC and Middle Management are a local improv comedy group that consistently bring the funny. They schooled us on improv comedy with facts, details, a hilarious demonstration that included a live skit. Listen to the whole show and find out the fruit Dans body is most shaped like, what male celebrity Derrick has a crush on, and which part of Shauns body will make you hallucinate if you lick it. No new content this week but based on our in-studio laugh-o-meter, none was needed. Also includes some great RVA Music. Want to learn IMPROV??? We talk to the group about they their process, their plans for the future and pancakes. A lot about pancakes. They stopped by with CD in hand to chat with us about their music, the local scene and their plans for the near future. We learned that the the band name is a metaphor for turning light into sound - mad cool! They also brought along some new tracks they have been working on and almost slipped and released some big new about plans they have on the horizon. Almost. In this episode, Evan Howard and Kevin Bleakley of Be Sharp Duo joined us in Ashland, VA for some sub-par radio fun. They brought some cool tunes. We covered several duo related topics such as: listening to music together, playing music together and eating hot dogs, together. Shaun's incoherent drunken babble garnered tons of laughter and plenty of confusion. New Content: Juan Mc Rameirez's Super Nipple Shield & Pep Powder We would like to apologize for the late posting of this podcast. Dan thought it necessary to wash the show. By wash it we don’t mean edit it. He actually washed it. The jump drive that the file was saved on took a trip in one of his pockets through the washing machine. Who knew he actually did laundry? Luckily the drive dried out in a bowl of rice and the show was saved. Enjoy. Song list 1) The Trillions - Ctrl-C Ctrl-V 2) Be Sharp Duo - En Fuego 3) The Dream Machine - Dead Man’s Tongue 4) Be Sharp Duo - Flying on Electricity 5) Psychobilly Cadillac - Out of Mind 6) Downbeat Switch - Room to Breath 7) Be Sharp Duo - Let Go 8) Proverbial - What I’m Good For 9) Be Sharp Duo - Caution 10) Black Girls - Broadway

Boom! This week The Trillions brought a van full of gear to Ashland to shred-pop and rock your faces off. All week, Dan would not shut up about their Flux EP (Available on their website!) leading up to the show and Charles, Joe, Chris and Robbie did not disappoint. The Trillions made some of the best guests we've had and this made for one of our best shows to date. Derrick was away on vacation but still called in for the 2nd hour and started cursing up a storm like a drunken sailor. The guys didn't miss Derrick one iota being that Ryan Crenshaw from NO DICE made an excellent replacement. One would assume that it's hard to make great music sound bad, but not when Dan's behind the boards. In his defense, he only had two minutes before the show to do a sound check, so he replaced two of the songs with studio recordings. As promised, we had plenty of new material.1 Skit and 4 Product Parodies...You'll just have to listen to find out! TRACK LIST: 1)Former Champions - Stereo System 2) Proverbial - What I'm Good For 3) Opposite The Satellite - Blind Spot 4) Photosynthesizers - Word Of Mouth 5) Black Girls - Music Theory (For Haters) 6) The Kindling Kind - Awakening

Black Girls where voted Style Weekly's Best Rock Band of 2011, so you can imagine how excited we where when they joined us to talk music, play some original tunes and get goofy live with the guys. We also dug up a bit about the bands history, influences and they revealed their secrets about the best place to pick up cougars in Richmond(you'll just have to listen to find out). It was easy to see why they where voted Rock Band Of The Year once they started playing and Dan spared no complements when verbally fluffing their egos. Though Manzelli is no longer with the show, in this episode we introduced Shaun to fill both his seat and his elf shoes. No new content, but we promise big things next week. TRACK LIST 1) Downbeat Switch - Room To Breath 2) The Trillions - Goodbye Rubbish Head 3) No Dice - Bicycle Girl 4) The Rift - Fire Escapes 5) Grinding Stone - Meet Me In The Middle If you like BLACK GIRLS, and you would like to be a part of their next record, click here and check out all the cool gifts they are offering to people who pledge $10 or more to their KICKSTARTER.COM Vinyl Revival Project

In this week’s episode, the guys and gal from Downbeat Switch joined us for two hours packed full of lowbrow humor and sexual innuendo. Because Manzelli arrived late, Dan and Derrick decided to punish him by forcing him to eat something strange and disgusting they found around the radio station. Dan immediately kicked off the interview segments by making DbS’s new drummer Rob feel awkward and uncomfortable with stories they shared from their past. Jenna, the lead singer for Downbeat Switch, brought in an amazing set of pipes and wowed the guys with three live songs. I should mention that DbS unveiled two new songs from their upcoming album. Listen to the podcast to find out if the biopsy we preformed on the sore from Manzelli's lip was really herpes or just a skittle that melted to his face. New product parodies to look for: The Facebook Breathalyzer and Rock Hard Caulk.

We had our scheduled guest canceled on us last minute but we were lucky enough to have Scott Ellett and Joey Justice fill the void. They brought some great original tunes, played one from Flight of the Concords and we had a lot of fun. Grandma Lucy called in with Jokes and kept us rolling and Simon joined us in-studio for the second addition of Simon Says. As always, this show is filled with raunchy humor, intelligent conversation and good music. New Skits/Fake Ads/Product Parodies: TESTICLZ, Natural Male Enhancement & The Jeffery Dahmer Cook Book. Track List: 1) Grinding Stone - Get On 2) Murphy's Kids - Hands On 3) Proverbial - Down Here 4) Acousticat - Three Seasons Past 5) Silo Effect - Surfaces
